Help for facility owners

Everything you need to run your storage facility on Storvio.

Getting started

After you sign in, your Overview shows a setup checklist. Work down it — each item links to the page where you finish that step. Nothing charges a tenant until you take billing live.

Connect payouts (Stripe)

Go to Billing → Connect with Stripe. This links your bank so rent and deposits are paid out to you. You can't charge tenants until Stripe finishes verifying your account.

Add your spaces

Under Spaces, add each space with its size and monthly rent. You can also bulk-import. Available spaces show on your public booking page so renters can self-serve.

Tenants & assignments

A tenant can rent online (self-serve checkout) or you can add them under Accounts and assign them to a space. Each assignment tracks rent, billing state, and gate access.

Billing & invoices

Once you're live, Storvio invoices active tenants on a monthly cycle and charges their card on file. Past-due tenants surface on your Overview, and late fees / grace periods follow your billing settings. Refunds and one-off retries are available per invoice.

Bank payments & the ACH discount

Card charges cost you roughly 2.9% + 30¢; bank debits (ACH) cost 0.8% capped at $5. Under Settings → Bank payments you can offer tenants a small rent discount (default 1%) for paying from a linked bank account — the discount comes out of your fee savings, so you still net more per payment. The section unlocks once ACH Direct Debit is enabled on your Stripe account.

Tenants can link their bank two ways: instantly, by logging in to their bank through Stripe, or by typing their routing and account numbers. Manual entry (common for business and corporate accounts that can’t use the instant login) takes 1–2 extra business days while Stripe verifies the account with a small test deposit — until the tenant confirms it, their page shows verification pending and rent can’t be collected from that account yet.

Bank debits settle in about 4 business days: those invoices show a blue Processing badge until the payment clears (or fails), and Storvio holds off on retries, late fees, and manual mark-paid during that window so nobody gets charged twice. A failed debit behaves like a declined card — the tenant is emailed and your normal grace period starts from the day the failure lands.

Inquiries & waitlist

When someone asks about a space or joins your waitlist, it appears on your Overview and under Inquiries, so you can follow up and convert leads.
